Here is how to wrap a gift using wrapping paper:
Materials needed: Decorative paper, a gift box, a small pull-bow, and double-sided tape.
1. Lay the decorative paper flat on a table. Then, trim the paper to an appropriate size based on the dimensions of the gift you are wrapping, as shown in the image below. We are using a square sheet of paper and will be employing the "diagonal wrapping" method.
2. Place the gift in the center of the decorative paper, ensuring the colored side of the paper is facing outward. Since we are using the diagonal wrapping method, the gift must be positioned diagonally, as illustrated in the image below.
3. Fold the two opposing corners of the wrapping paper over the gift to cover it, then secure them in place with tape. See the image below. These two diagonal corners can be folded and secured simultaneously.
4. This is the most critical step: once the first two corners have been wrapped, the remaining two corners require a specific folding technique to tuck the paper neatly underneath. As shown below, first fold the top edge of the paper downward; then, fold the side edges inward; finally, fold the remaining corner of the paper upward from the bottom, tucking it snugly against the gift.
5. After folding the corner upward, adjust the creases to ensure a neat fit. Once adjusted, fold the paper up completely and secure it firmly with tape.
6. Next, use the exact same method to fold up the other remaining corner of the paper, and secure it with tape as well.
7. Take the small pull-bow and pull the two thin strings downward from the center while pushing the wider outer ribbons upward. Once gathered, the ribbons will transform into a small flower shape, as shown in the image below.
8. Then, use a small knife or scissors to curl the two thin strings of the pull-bow, as shown in the image below.
9. Once the pull-bow is ready, use double-sided tape to attach it to the wrapped gift. Your birthday gift is now beautifully wrapped!
